Storytelling
For the last few months (by popular demand) the way I've been putting the kids to sleep is by making up stories starring Bumblebee and Jetfire for the kids. I usually try to work in some moral lesson or some science or some history. Joaquin is usually quick to point out inconsistencies when I start to ramble on as I fall asleep.
Today during naptime Joaquin took it upon himself to make up the stories. He went on for half an hour, unfortunately I was too sleepy to remember all the details.
Tonight he also tried making up stories out of a "find the object" book and a picture book teaching chinese words for vehicles and fruit. Will post the video later but it was something like "the firetruck was walking along and saw a police car and they danced together then they ran into a dump truck and they danced together, then they saw a bulldozer...".
Shortly thereafter Javier picked up a book about birds and did the exact same story!
