Skipping Beijing

Our first stop of the grand world tour was supposed to be Beijing. We were planning to visit our good friends and their kids and also to process some papers in Beijing. Joaquin was supposed to stay in Beijing with our friends and our helper while Jaime and I attend a wedding celebration in the Inner Mongolia.
Joaquin's prolonged sickness changed all these. Today we went to see the doctor. He says he can fly but he may be contagious to other kids. We decided then to skip Beijing and made the revision to our itinerary (before our grand tour even began!). The total detour ended up quite costly: we voided the original round trip tickets to the Inner Mongolia; needed to buy a new round trip; and rerouted our RTW tickets! I spent my entire day rebooking and replanning our trip and nearly drove our travel agent crazy!
Fortunately, Joaquin felt a lot better in the afternoon already (maybe we didn't need to change our plan at all). He is eating better both at lunch and dinner and is now still running around at midnight refusing to go to sleep... I guess he will be fully recovered when we finally embark our journey (first stop Hokkaido) next Tuesday...

Looks like he is saying: "Though I have been sick, my tummy is still unchanged"!

Hehe. He's pressing his own tummy and laughing like the Pillbury's dough boy.
