Bingxin's best friend Yoxue was so excited to see him, he ran out of the classroom to greet him before he's had a chance to take off his shoes.
After he'd finished with his shoes, they walked into the classroom together, already having forgetten Dadu was still there.

Silly Osito and Happy Hippo
Gymbo Javier
We signed Javier up for Gymboree class in LA. Joaquin had attended various classes since he was 3 months old but Javier hasn't had any and he is almost 5 months old. And he loves it! The only thing is that every ride there and back takes 20 minutes each way and he really doesn't like riding in the car. Today when he came home he was so angry from being left in the car seat that he was so soaked in his tears and sweat!
We also took Joaquin to a class and he looooooooved it despite the fact he doesn't really speak English and Dadu had to translate the instructions given by the teacher. We hope to take him back to another class again soon. He couldn't go today because he was having a fever and bad coughs but maybe by tomorrow he will feel much better.

Language Police
Joaquin's latest thing: any time he can he forbids his enterprising Mamu from attempting to learn and speak Spanish. Even if she's just asking Dadu what the name of a street in LA means, or just even saying "OK", he'll say "不要說西班牙文" ("cannot speak Spanish!"). So much for getting them confused.
