Sunday at the Park
The kids met Janet Hsieh that day, and a few days later she recalled that she found it hilarious how they were trying to pump each other full of air via mouth and nostrils (before Papa came and took the pump away).

Joaquin's Essay
Joaquin's teacher Ms. Wong wanted to talk today about how good Joaquin's essay on the first time he rode a bike was, saying how beyond 2nd grade the vocubulary was. How it was actually something you'd want to continue reading and structured like a published book. She showed it to the other teacher who thought that it should be graded A++.
She was so impressed that she read it aloud to the rest of the class, while Joaquin sat very embarassed in his desk. But he does know he's good, as she says that he's always eager to show her new things that he's written or drawn.
