Javi fell asleep 5 minutes before getting to Sea World! Quiet day at Sea World since its after labor day weekend. Hopefully Legoland will be also quiet tomorrow.

Campmate

We went out to dinner at the illustrious Lawry's in Beverly Hills, and the one person to run into a friend: Joaquin, his very cute campmate, who he walked into (by accident) at the Women's restroom. She confirmed, though, that he is the shy type, though he was so excited he kept wanting to go back to find her.

Summer Camp BBQ

This week is the last week of Joaquin's Summer Camp so we all went to their BBQ, where all the groups (Joaquin's is the Yellow Yelping Yodeling Yaks) put on a little presentation.

Joaquin was so excited throughout he couldn't stop moving. As soon as we got there, he ran over to sit with his group. Afterwards he dragged me on a full tour of the camp, including the giant's helicopter landing pad and castle, the place where his group buried he treasure and the princess' tunnel.

The counselors were telling us what a goofball Joaquin is, including the time he noticed one counselor Emily drove in her car, so he started repeating her license plate over and over until he memorized it. Also how he would be trying to teach them Spanish and speak Chinese with the one other half-Asian kid.

He was sad last week when Joyce told him this week would be the last, but is very excited when told his brother and cousin might be able to join him next year (though he's expressed worry that he won't be able to control them).
